To avoid distractions, she put herself in the clock and opened its face. Shrugging back her sleeves, she holds up her hands and looks at her watch.
Five.
Four.
Three..
The sound of cartwheels through the air caught someone’s attention and they went into the street, on the footpath outside their home, eyes upon the sky. Others run into the main street of the town, their eyes upon the sky.
Stars burst, circles of colour spin and explode. Orange, green, silver.
Pink. Blue. White.
A pair of eyes pivot from the colourful sight and up into the clock. A smile curves his lips as he barely makes out the figure shrouded in darkness.
Stars spin and circles burst.
