Title: ‘Tis the Season: just in time
Fandom: Once Upon a Time (OUaT)
Rating: (G)
Time Period: Season 4: Arendelle.
Summary: There's a familiar smell in the air.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

I didn't put a specific time on this except 'season 4' because I love this small scene for what it is: some fun. I'd say it was before the start of the season but not long before so they could celebrate.

Running her hands over her waist, her eyes study the table before her while she counts everything on a list she's been trying to keep straight in her mind.

Two different types of chocolate cake with a chocolate statue. Chocolate biscuits. The chocolate toast was over there. Th--

Where was the fondue!?

She turns to the servant behind her. “Where's the fondue?”

“Here, your Majesty.” He nods to his hands which have …

She sighs in relief and her hands rest over her heart. A nervous laugh escapes and the servant smiles; his face is completely composed when she turns to him, pointing at the end of the table. “There, I think.”

He sets the fondue on the table.

“I want this to be perfect,” she breathes into the room and then she turns once more, facing the servant, pointing to the table. “We should put the ice cream there, do you think? And the chocolate milk on a small table while we dine?”

“I don't know what would be best, your Majesty but if I may make a suggestion?” He gazes ahead until he sees Elsa nod, catching the motion from the corner of his eye. Then he looks directly at her. “Breathe, your Majesty. Your sister wouldn't want you to faint before she arrives.”

Elsa laughs, nervously, and outs a hand on her stomach to steady flighty nerves. “Thank you,” she smiles. “I think,” she surveys the table once more, “this will be perfect.”

He half-bows and a boy bursts through the door as the servant leaves. “She'scomingyourMajesty!” He exclaims in the same breath he's yet to properly catch.

“Catch your breath!” She instructs the boy who nods. She rushes to the great doors and closes them behind her before she turns to greet her sister. “Anna!”

“Elsa!” She almost crushes her sister as they both hug and then she pauses, her eyes slightly widening as she smells, then grins. “Chocolate!” She jumps, holding Elsa's arms, and then bounces before her sister. “Where is it!?”

“Chocolate, Anna?”

“You know there's some and you're mean not to --- you're not really mean but you are being that by not sharing the chocolate with me!”

“Why don't you look for it? Otherwise, you'll ruin this occasion by insisting there's chocolate when there's possibly none.”

“A ha! You said possibly!” Anna grins at her sister as she sniffs. “It's coming from ...” She looks first right then centre. At the two very large doors before her. “It's in ...” And she shoves the doors open. “Oh, Elsa!” She steps into the room, walking around the table. “All this is for me?”

“Yo---oompf!” Her arms go around the figure who'd flung her arms around her. “Anna?”

“Thankyouthankyouthankyou!” Anna almost-whispers. “Thank you.”

Elsa smiles. “Can we eat now?”

Anna runs for the table.
