The poll results were in favour of chocolate so, here's a story involving chocolate!
And it's not sad, although I was tempted to do so! However, all the ideas I had were happy ones.

“Amy! Wait up!”
She stops, turns. Mels starts to stop but Amy waves her on; she'll catch up to her friend in a moment. Mels shrugs and walks on.
“What do you want?”
“To give you this,” Rory half-pants; he stretches his hand, offering the scrunched box while he's bending over, one hand on his knee.
Amy accepts the box from the outstretched hand; it falls to his other knee so now he's fully bent over, both hands on his knees. A card is caught under the box's ribbed ribbon and she takes it out, holds it. “Why?”
Rory stands, having caught his breath. “It's Valentine's Day,” he says simply and then turns, walking away.
Amy catches up with Mels, still holding the box and card in her hands. “What did Rory want?” She asks, giving the box and card a shrewd look; Amy misses it.
“To give me this,” she answers, holding up the box so Mels can see.
“Well, it i---that's a box of chocolate. Your favourite kind,” she adds, unnecessarily to Amy's thinking.
“He just gave it to me,” she says, opening the box after she's put the card in the back pocket of her jeans. “Want one?”
“Never say no to a chocolate!” Mels replies as she helps herself to one. “So, off to your place then?”
“Sure,” Amy says, absently.
Mels smiles; a secret half-smile Amy never sees. “Penny in the air,” she murmurs.
“What?” Amy's still looking in the direction she came.
“Nothing,” Mels replies. “Your place then?”
Amy shakes her head and follows her friend.
