I really feel like this post sums a lot of what I think (at least regarding Kurt) up nicely :)

I thought Kurt rose above everything with a maturity and grace that is rarely seen in this group of misfits.

The rest of the group acted (I guess) like a bunch of whiny, gossipy teenagers, and hypocritical ones at that. Finn, Rachel, Quinn, Puck, and for that matter, Santana & Brittany have all cheated on someone. Mercedes and Tina, leading the charge against KURT, mind you, have not, but it didn't occur to them that they were spreading gossip about their FRIEND, or that Mercedes, in class, was basically calling Kurt a whore. Puck (PUCK!!) had the nerve to tell Sam that 'what he was doing wasn't cool', and Finn started all this b'c he didn't trust Quinn b'c not only did she cheat on him with Puck, HE CHEATED WITH HER ON SAM.

What a bunch of pricks.

The only good thing I can say is that I appreciated the re-appearance of Kurt's shirt from Duets, and that after Artie acted (for the 5 millionth time) like an utter jerk to his GF, I really, really liked his number. Because I don't like him AT. ALL ( ... )

I agree with so much of this (especially the Sam needing a haircut bit!).
I also really like how understanding and quiet Kurt was about the whole thing. It was also really mature of Kurt to not just fling whatever clothes at Sam willy-nilly. He gave Sam some muted garments so attention wasn't drawn to him and I gained so much more respect for BOTH boys in this episode than I had for them before (which is saying a lot because I respect Kurt so much already).

I think part of that is simply that in such a toxic environment, many people would just jump at the chance to defend themselves against this kind of muckraking, even if they didn't expose the truth about what was going on. But Kurt was so above it all he didn't even feel it was necessary to respond to such ridiculous accusations. (And they were ridiculous. And anyone who's seen him with Blaine would know that. And FINN, who LIVES with him, SHOULD know that and the only excuse I can give Finn is that a) he has a seriously low IQ and b) he was crazy with jealousy and assumed Sam would act like a pig b'c, basically HE HAD ( ... )

I really really felt so bad that Sam felt like he had to tell everyone the truth. I understand why he did it, because he's such a sweet guy he couldn't stand to see Quinn and Kurt pulled down like that, but at the same time this whole situation is a testament to those two, as well. They care about Sam so much that they're wiling to let the club tear them down just to keep his secret. As much as Quinn is a super crazy bitch most of the time, this episode actually made me want to like her because of that ( ... )

I adore Kurt's epic bitchface to Rachel. Also that christmas plaid shirt of his, which is intriguingly unbuttoned.

Other than Kurt's scene with Rachel he was pretty quiet in this episode. Considering the title of the episode quiet = mature.

GOD, I LOVE YOU, WARDROBE DEPARTMENT. I LOVE HOW YOU CONNECT THEMES AND CHARACTER CONSISTENCY THROUGH CLOTHING REPEATS.

Part of me is glad and proud of Kurt giving clothes to Sam. Part of me is sad that he gave what is apparently his Earth Day jacket. It's one of my favorites, stop judging me right now

Also, apparently that boy can sense gossip/dirt/drama. How else does one get "I'm homeless" from "I'm a teenage boy with a job delivering pizzas"?
