Writing Plans! Again!

It's been almost one year since I last wrote about my writing plans. I looked at this old post and I was startled to see how much my plans haven't changed.
Sadly, I was not able to make much progress on the self-publishing front (in the time between my old post and now) because, for the lack of a better term, my teaching year was very hard. It wasn't until August that I was able to feel like myself again. I learned not to feel responsible for everything, and I learned to take a step back.
I'm tired of talking about talking about self-publication (if that makes sense!) and I'm ready to take action, y'all.
In no particular order:
A. I have been furiously editing and revising ReRedux in the last few days. My thumb and forefinger hurt because I've been typing and clutching my mouse XD And I think my wrist is ready to go too ;) But the point remains: I am nearly done editing the 20 chapters of ReRedux.
B. Once the editing is done, I'm going to look into ebook formatting and such. I'll need to get a website up and running. I want to submit the ebook to various retailers (Amazon, BN, Apple, Kobo, Smashwords, etc). I will try to set up a link on my site, so a person can buy the ebook directly from me, in case they can't buy from these retailers. The ebook price will be as fair as I can make it (within 0.99 to 3.99 range).
C. At this stage, ReRedux stands at 64K words. This may seem low, but for YA/NA, an ebook should be somewhere from 50K to 100K. Some of you guys have read Redux, and it was 112K words, so you guys may be wondering where the rest of the words went. Well, that's because it's going to be a duology :)
D. My intention is to self-publish ReRedux and write the second part as quickly and well as I can, and then self-publish that shortly after. If things go well, I hope to revise and publish TSWAQ (full-length novel) and Still Waters (novella). Possible RV stories will depend on how much time I have, and reader interest.
E. The stepsibling factor remains in ReRedux. I decided I just couldn't remove it. However! Adrian and Alex are not stepsiblings officially because their parents are just engaged. I decided to do it that way because I didn't want to deal with cries of "incest! eww!" just yet ;) So they do still live in the same house and everything.
F. A few other changes ... The town is still River Valley, but the school is no longer River Valley High because there's an actual RVHS in Arizona. It's now Varner High :) I didn't want to deal with possible confusion. Adrian's father is now named Carter Blake because I like the name Lincoln and wanted to reserve it for a main male POV in a future story XD Meg's full name is Megara instead of Margaret. I've aged her, Isaac, and Owen up.
G. I will be adding new content and possibly new characters to the second part of ReRedux. I think it'll keep the story fresh and interesting :) More about this later on.
H. Yes, AAO will follow eventually. Same goes for MHPP, although both will be rewritten and edited heavily. Sox too, I'm sure. I will do the same with EHL and AWM.
One of the ideas I've been batting around is to open up EHL as a college series. Logan's story would kick off that series (while AAO remains firmly in high school with his brother Ryan and Ral). I think a lot can happen in college and I've missed seeing Logan :)
Another idea is that AWM might actually get expanded. This is one of my most favorite stories ever, and I have missed seeing Mia, Peregrine, and Channing. More about this, later on.
I. From my new stuff, Fish will definitely be self-published. I just need to write more of it and see if it's a single novel or a series of novellas. So I need to play around more with this 'verse first.
J. I am NOT giving up on Winterhaven. I'm going to continue writing it, but I'm not publishing it yet because it's a massive series, and I'd rather have the whole thing finished first :) Then we'll talk about editing, rewriting, publishing, etc.
K. And yep, I'm continuing Black Sun. I love this world too much.
L. Nope, we haven't seen the end of Rome either. It is going to come back in one form or another because I love that world.
M. Hopefully, new ideas will come. I am NOT giving up on my dark, twisty stuff, but I'm not giving up on YA/NA either. I'm just going to write both and enjoy it! :) Hopefully you guys will too!
