So...my Mac has been acting very strangely like a PC lately. You know, like freezing up and viruses and other PC-like problems that aren't supposed to really happen on Macs. So I eventually decided to reinstall my operating system. I ended up doing this twice. Once as a clean install (preserving the applications and files) and then again as a total erase and install.
I'm sure reinstalling the operating system twice in one day can't be good for my computer.
Alas, I spent most of the weekend working on my computer. The reinstall has certainly solved most (but not all) of the problems I was having.
Oddly enough, another weird benefit of the reinstall is that...before I had about 8GB of free space. Now I have almost exactly the same stuff reloaded and transferred back on it, and apparently now I have 24GB of free space.
I have no idea why I suddenly have 16GB more of free space or what the hell it was. Maybe my dog had a hidden folder of puppy porn.

Speaking of my dog...after playing Nintendogs almost every day for a YEAR, I finally got the Jack Russell book. To explain...it is one of the rarest items in the game. It is also the ONLY way to "unlock" the jack russell terrier breed so you can adopt one.
I always told myself I wouldn't adopt another dog unless it was a jack russell. I was really starting to think that I'd NEVER get it. Like, seriously. But Shelby surprised me one day by finding it.
So now I have two dogs. My other dog is a jack russell terrier named Charlie. The two of them get along great. They seem to really enjoy each other's company. They are often cuddling together. One amusing thing (I cracked up the first time I saw it happen) is when I have the windup toy out for them to play with. Usually they share toys pretty well...but...
Shelby was playing with it and she had it in her paws. Charlie comes romping up, smacks the toy out of Shelby's reach, then takes it for HERSELF.
I am still constantly amazed at all the little details they put into this game.

And speaking of games...I got my first import!!!
It's Bleach DS, a fighting game. It's not expected to be released in the U.S. any time soon...in fact it may never be released in the U.S. but the DS is region free so you can import it from Japan.
I'd heard so many great things about it. It's supposed to be a great fighting game. And a lot of people on the forums and stuff go as far as to say it is the BEST game, like ever, for the Nintendo DS. Apparently, it's based on an anime. They show it on Adult Swim, but I've never seen it. I just wanted a good (fighting) game.
So thanks to Ebay, I scored myself a copy and saved myself some money too. In fact, the person I bought it from lives in San Francisco. Haha.
I've started playing it...and I've got to say...it is JUST AS AWESOME as everyone says it is. As a fighting game, I'd rate it on par with stuff classic stuff like Street Fighter II Turbo and the Tekken games. It's THAT good and the graphics and sound looks amazing, AND it has a lot of replay value with TONS to unlock and the ability to play random people around the world on wi-fi. It's also really import friendly...even though it's in Japanese...most stuff is pretty easy to figure out and do.

I've been having a HUGE problem with anxiety/panic attacks lately. :( Having Neil off in Europe probably didn't help, but I doubt the two are connected. I have medication for when things get bad, but it is take as needed. It's a controlled substance so I try to take as little as possible.
But man...I have gone through A LOT of it. And no, I'm not getting high off of it. (I have a personal rule NOT to get high off anything I'm prescribed.) I've just been having so much anxiety/panic attacks lately. I really don't know what's wrong.
Neil came back from his Europe trip today. Even though I wasn't with him literally anyways, when he is away like that, esp. as far away as Europe...it just FEELS worse. Anyways, he is back. I see him in less than two weeks. And we will be back in wonderful Hawaii.
