the obligatory "new phone" post
a lot of people seem to be posting whenever they get new phones. so here is my obligatory "new phone" post.
i got a sidekick II.
its coolest feature is the ability to web browse, just like you do on your computer. this is the FULL internet...not the ultra-limited WAP that phone companies like to call "the internet." that's right, i can view porn on it.
it doesn't have EDGE or wi-fi like the new MDA device...but the speed is surprisingly fast for most of the pages i go to. i mean, it's not broadband, but it gets the job done.
it also has e-mail, yahoo and aim, a calendar, a to-do list and a very comprehensive way of organizing all your contacts. and everything synchs up automatically with a server that t-mobile maintains.
the best part is that it has a full QWERTY keyboard. it's super easy to type on, i can type pretty fast...but it probably won't work well if you have big fingers.
it also has a VGA camera with a flash. and it has a built-in mirror so that it's super easy to take pictures of...yourself!!! woo-hoo.
and the nice thing about the sidekick II is that it's so light and tiny. the first sidekick was huge...but i mean, i'm used to playing my nintendo DS and holding that and using that for hours on end...this is MUCH lighter and more compact.
oh...and my sidekick II can actually...MAKE PHONE CALLS. imagine that!!!
