Temporary single parent
I'm back at work, kids go back to school next week, and my husband is off to fight fires in LA. I realize some people do this *all the time* I but I don't see how. And, since I'm stuck in the month where the unemployment has stopped but the paychecks haven't started, we're broke and I can't even take them out to dinner, or buy ready made stuff. I have to *cook*. No one is happy about this. Last time he was gone, my middle school daughter took over in the kitchen, but she's a sophomore now, taking all advanced classes and playing soccer, and I don't think she'll have time.
