I tried to stay RB as long as possible, obviously leaning towards a green splash... I figured Nemesis was worth a second splash, not sure if it really was, but it didn't stretch the mana too much...
ROUND ONE vs Grixis
game one he floods out, which is bad for my two Singe-Mind Ogres, but good enough for me as I come out with both of my Slaughtermasters and I kill him pretty fast. game two he goes any direct damage on me, with Quenchable Fire (I islandcycled to avoid the upkeep damage) and Breath of Malfegor. I play to wipe his board with Suicidal Charge, but he has Unsycth (spellchecker likes that word??) to wreck my plans and essentially take the game. Game three I a one-lander into Mountain, Forest, Slaughtermaster, Nemisis, Drake and Minior Reflecter. euuugh. he has capsule for my two drop and then i draw mountains the next two turns while he makes a Kedereket Creeper. when I finally draw black, it's a Necropolis - when I finally play the Drake he has soul's fire. he then has Dark Temper for Nemesis and Terminate for my Demon.... another deck I really like loses first round. against a deck with a normal amount of removal I think I would have been okay in that match, but he tells me he plays 9 removal spells main. fair fair.

Game three I a one-lander into Mountain, Forest, Slaughtermaster, Nemisis, Drake and Minior Reflecter. euuugh. he has capsule for my two drop and then i draw mountains the next two turns while he makes a Kedereket Creeper. when I finally draw black, it's a Necropolis - when I finally play the Drake he has soul's fire. he then has Dark Temper for Nemesis and Terminate for my Demon.... another deck I really like loses first round. against a deck with a normal amount of removal I think I would have been okay in that match, but he tells me he plays 9 removal spells main. fair fair.
