I should have gone to bed 2 hours ago after watching Mean Creek with the boy. Instead I had to check out the cast and crew on IMDB and from there began to wonder what the cast of ANOTHER WORLD was up to and... and.... it just went on and on....
So I googled 'computer use & insomnia' and found a bunch of crap that tells me what I've been suspecting since the night I couldn't fall asleep after the first time I met the internet. I remember wondering if the reason I was having a hard time falling asleep was from staring at my dad's brand new computer monitor for the better part of the evening. And that was a long time ago.
Some of the googled crap said that the light from the new fangled screens screws up our melatonin levels... in other news I think that screwing with those (m-levels that is) also might be linked to breast cancer. Add that to the laptop zapping my lap with it's laptoppy compu-waves and I'm heading for full blown hypochondria meets conspiracy theory.
PS I probably had a wee bit too much afternoon coffee today at my NEW JOB! Ok so it's a daily call but it was today and also tommorrow...which is why i'm stupid for being here and not asleep in bed.
