how to raise a human
some things i am going to try to do if i ever have kids
-don't enforce gender roles
-don't teach them any traditions until they are old enough to understand what a tradition is
-make sure they arent raised soley by me, to avoid any bias or character flaws i have being handed down to them
-raise them vegan until they are old enough to decide for themselves
-if i tell them to do something or not to do something and i can't give them a good reason why. then dont make them obey.
-complete honesty about myself and my past
-help them to be exposed to many many cultures and belief systems
i dont want my kid to have to search through his past and figure out what was tradition and culturally implimented like i did. i want him to grow mentally from the begining, so he/she can start teaching me new things. it would be great to learn from something i created.
anyone have suggestions... things i missed? think im completely wrong?
