irrelevant amusement Here, I type. It's been a long time, my friends. I hope this finds you well, inspired, encouraged, hugged, pampered, or at the very least - aware at some level that this moment is precious and so are you.
I'm not sure where that came from, I just needed to say it. :)
I also need to say that I am not 'back,' or not in any easily conveyable way. I've been enjoying my offline time (spent intentionally or un-) and plan to keep it. I say 'plan' but I know things will change a bit soon. Happily, very soon. We will have a functioning online apparatus in the room by the end of the week, which will be hard to resist overusing. We've all had our phases.) It will take me a while to catch up on everyone's ljs, so please be patient, but I am looking forward to the read.
My 'news' as briefly as I can brief:
I've had a few adventures in cities ranging from the border to San Francisco and I'm changed. For the better.
I am still living in San Diego, still loving the ocean air and its people, still making all kinds of plans for my future (to be disclosed as they near actualization), still drawing and the like. Not writing music yet, but playing piano in the afternoons.
Time passes.
I saw my family over the weekend, it was genuinely pleasant. Spent a few days with my parents and brother, then took in "42nd street" (cliche soup but beautifully executed; top-notch dancing and choreography) at the Ahmanson with my grandparents. My great-grandma told me a few riddles and jokes over dinner that I later retold to G's little sister (she can't wait to meet my grandma now).
I'm getting tired.
Take care.
