I'm killing time before Nikki gets home. so i'll cut the ramblings...
I feel so productive today. I took Zakk out to eat breakfast. One of my new goals is to spend time with the kids individually. Scarlett got errands and ice cream monday night (and then we went to barnes and noble and got a couple of new books). So it was pancakes with Zakk this morning, and then last week Ronin got to go play in the powerzone at the YMCA while I worked (which sounds lame, but it's probably the thing that he wanted most because between school and when he's at his mom's, he doesn't get to go much). Anyway right after that I took Bogart to his grooming appointment, then got the oil changed and the tires rotated and THEN I set up my eye doctor appointment. I'm so pumped to get my prescription sunglasses. I wanna get these Ralph Lauren Aviators that I can not for the life of me find online to show you guys.
So now I'm sitting at home and waiting for Nikki to get home from work, because we're going to go over to the SPCA to adopt a kitty!!! We're having a hard time thinking of a name. Even though it's technically Nikki's cat, and will leave with her when she leaves, for now we're sharing her and have agreed that we'd pick the name together. We kindof want a 'the office' (US)-related name. So at first we were thinking garbage. Because that's the name of the cat Dwight gives to Angela after he mercy kills Sprinkles... "Mose calls him garbage because he eats garbage." But then we were also thinking Beasley, which isn't really a good name for a girl but we both heart Pam's character. And then the other choice is Dundee, after the yearly awards given out to Dunder Mifflin employees. ramble ramble (sorry. that last paragraph was truly lame, but I'm seriously trying to kill time until 1:30). Also, just as a side note, last night we watch the season 2 episode "the injury," which is probs one of my faves. It's just perfect. If you don't watch the office, and you ever feel like watching an episode, watch that one.
*tangent*
Seriously. Spring needs to get here. I think that living in Syracuse for 22 years has put an inherent ability in me to sense when spring actually hits the area. It might be wishful thinking, and yes it is only 35 degrees outside, but I can feel the turn when I wake up in the morning. Eh, maybe not. I wanted to wear my spring coat today, but it was not to be so. It may sound like nothing for those of you living in warmer climates, but I'm so excited for whenever it decides to hit 50. How sad is that? As long as it's dry, I'll take Bogart for a walk for an hour or so around Sedgewick and then go for a run or maybe walk to Zakk and Scarlett's instead of driving, because it's not that far.
Anyway, in other news... I moved all my graphics over to a community,
m2s_graphics so as not to annoy any of you with constant graphic posts. anyway so this journal looks so sparse now because I deleted all of the old icon entries. but I added 'in the heights,' (new AMAZING original musical that I want to see awfully), spelling bee, and the office (pilot) icons.
Anyway, and in short, today is a good good day. I love where I am right now in my life. Happy is so good!
