He'd been following for some time, evaluating the man who called himself Ducard. Of course, Slade knew who it really was that he'd allowed into his city, but given the fact that Bruce Wayne was probably suspicious of him as it was, Slade had thought it best for them to meet in Jump instead of Gotham when Ra's had first extended the invitation. The proposal to meet hadn't surprised him - very little did - but he was curious to see how this little tête-à-tête played out.
"It has its moments," Slade replied, appearing behind the other man silently, just in time to catch the comment. Ra's man had known he was there - or close - before he'd spoken so there wasn't a point to theatrics. Not really. As a man who spent most of his life in the shadows, though, such things were second nature, and Slade hadn't felt the same need to balance what he was with false mediocrity.
"Thank you." His tone was distracted, purposely, eyes sliding over the landscape until it reached the peculiar tower in the distance. A perfect 'T' on an island just off the shore.
"I hear you have vigilantes of your own." He said, back still turned. "The Titans- almost the name of some sport team. I wonder if they realized what the titans represented." he mused. "The foundation of creation- chaos that is eventually tamed by the patriarchal pagan gods."
Slade turned his head slightly, following the line of the other man's gaze to Titans Tower. He watched it every now and then, taking in the view and remembering past encounters with the teenage 'heroes'. Of course, he hadn't bothered with them for some time - or at least not personally - since the incident with Trigon. If they knew he was here, though, watching, Slade knew they'd vacate their safe haven in a heartbeat and come after him. Part of him almost wished they would, if for no other reason than the challenge. But no. He knew better.
Resting a booted heel on the edge of the building, Slade surveyed the city again, keeping Ra's on the side of his good eye. He didn't expect hostility, but it was always best to be prepared. "If they do, they don't understand the power that they wield. Children rarely do."

Then, after a brief pause: "Welcome to Jump."
