Most of the time, Jason hated the city, hated being cooped up inside the loft, feeling caged. There was no wilderness in New York, at least not anything that wasn't already claimed and being fought over. And he wasn't desperate enough to haunt the zoo yet. Slipping close, he curled up on the floor at Jason's feet. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"They aren't worth that much. I was just thinking how much I like the city at night." Ducking his head, he blushes. "It's not as lonely as during the day."
