I love the couch. I nap on the couch. I knit on the couch. I snuggle up and read on the couch. So to get myself moving towards a 5k, I had to be pretty motivated. *glances down at her present self* Yup, I'm motivated. So here's the breakdown:
Monday - Wake up, stretch, "Okay, I'm ready to do this!" and I manage 6 out of the 8 intervals. That's okay, it's the first day, after all. And I was stiff. Doesn't help that I live in a basement...oof.
Tuesday - spent all night stretching and wincing as my muscles complain about the abuse and the day wasn't much better.
Wednesday - STILL sore, I decide not to do Day 2 quite yet. Work is fun since I file folders that are higher than my head and having to stand on tip toes is agony.
Thursday - Feeling fine! Surprise! And my gym clothes are in my messenger bag. After work, I hit the gym. The only disadvantage is that I leave my towel in the locker with the rest of my clothes. *grunt* Well, okay, it's not TERRIBLE, just a little damp.
Friday - No pain! I'm a little stiff in the calves and thighs but otherwise, everything feels pretty awesome.
Saturday - aka this morning, I did ALL THE INTERVALS! So proud of myself. I figure out a wee secret: If I work on my story in my head while I run, those minutes go by so much faster. Also I manage to work out some snarls in my Camp NaNoWriMo! Briana may not get a sweater after all. I don't have to abandon an incomplete story after all! Hurrah!!!
Now I'm going to do some writing. And sign up for Weight Watchers again.
