Sneak Peak at the 果味VC Documentary

Sep 09, 2009 20:59

Apparently there's going to be a Super VC documentary.  I have no details on this.  I only know because these two teasers are titled 味VC纪录片之预告片.  Vocabulary lesson for the day: 纪录片 jìlùpiàn = documentary
Also does anyone have a clue of what they're saying?  Something about 4 bored men?  lol

idk if it's changed since you saw it, but when i clicked the first vid out to youku it was called 果味VC 2006日本东京纪录片片花, so trailer for super vc's 2006 tokyo japan documentary.

and they mumble too much but i think it's "日本东京,四个男的会无聊,虽然mumble(难得?)mumble准备." so the missing bit is something about being ready? or finding it difficult to get ready? in short, i'm not sure but it gave me an excuse to watch the video a bunch of times. ;)

stumbled across your journal from cfensi's blog, which i would read WAY more of if china wasn't cockblocking so much these days.

also: i am in SUCH a super vc mood after seeing them at modern sky on monday. and just want them to play. like... a million gigs. so i can see them more often.

Glad you wandered in!
Yeah they must've changed the title because 日本 is one of the few things I can read in Chinese w/o the help of a dictionary ;p And thanks for the translation help!

But mostly OMG, YOU WENT TO THE MODERN SKY MUSIC FESTIVAL!!! And heard Super VC! Lucky you! Note to self: find video asap!

Since you're in the Super VC mood, I unlocked a post I made a little while back. http://community.livejournal.com/more_cmusic/20454.html
You might find something you don't have already.

no problem. i'm no native speaker, but living here has certainly improved my listening skills. ;)

if you just put in 果味VC to youku and look for the stage that looks like this (that's my photo, haha). i'd suggest this one of 超音速列车, not really because the sound of any good (it's crap) but because sun lingshen's just taken his shirt off and gets the audience to yell out TAKE IT OFF! for zhen yang. to which he is oh so obliging. and if you get to 6:38, zhen yang pours a jug of milk all over himself. i... yeah. i don't get it.

ooooooh that's brilliant! i haven't heard any of those tracks yet, except for the great restoration bonus since i bought the cd, haha. unfortunately china has also cockblocked 4shared. i can get megaupload and rapidshare at the moment, but anything else is dead. stupid china *kicks*

Shirtless and dripping with milk? I have to see that :D Nice picture of the stage too, lucky lucky you!

I'll upload those songs to megaupload for you, no problem. Is a rar file ok?

it's pretty unmissable. the person videotaping did a nice job with the zoom-ins, too. ;) i love zhen yang, he is a real performer. ♥

i also got to see them with 便利商店!which you mentioned on the post you just linked to. that was absolutely THE best gig i've been to in my six months in beijing. the bands were FUN, the venue was packed and the crowd went off. it was brilliant! my photos, however, left a little to be desired, but if you can find any video of 木偶像 on youku, that was my favorite song. also, they crowd surfed. shirtless. ahahaha what a show.

rar is just fine! thank you so much :D

Zhen Yang IS a performer! I can't believe you saw Convenience Store & Super Vc at Mao and it sounds like it was more wonderful than I imagined. I.. just...feel... weak.

I read your very interesting profile. So how much longer will you be in Beijing? Do you go to Mao Live House much?

If you're dying for anything else I've uploaded let me know and I can do a MU mirror for ya.

it's funny, i was at mao to see some other band (steely heart i think?) and i saw the poster for it. i did a couple of double-takes, then on the way out i saw a flyer so i took it. an acquaintance scheduled her birthday celebrations so i missed the opening bands but i am SO HAPPY i actually went. it was so brilliant ( ... )
