She stirred, a small push of air causing the hair around her face to brush against her skin. She had slept most of the day, the last light of twilight illuminating this oddly serene place.
The moth fluttered it's wings once again and she sat up, staring at the creature. It was large, but peaceful. As it began to flutter away her newly wakened mind contemplated how incongruous the creature was to another Moth she knew.
She shook her head to clear it. Her sleep had been dreamless and restful, the bed of moss beneath her and the gentle sounds of the forest around her were precisely what she didn't realize was needed in order to soothe her aches and worries.
She stretched languorously, her mind moving the limb that was not there. She still forgot occasionally. Caught herself reaching out with a phantom hand or moving her arm to prevent a bump. But the memory came back quickly. No more. She was incomplete in body, but it only made her more determined to be complete in mind.
The creeping thoughts faded quickly, vapor blown away by the wind. This place did not allow the dwelling of such morose thoughts. She was rested, and felt buoyed in her own mind. She pushed slowly to her feet and lifted her pack, securing it across her body to head for the nearby building.
