How non-related-ish of me...
This is a time of reflections for me. (Wow, how non-shallow-ish!)
1. Found myself sitting at one of my favourite places in the world. A kindergarten (Weil es Abend war, gab es aber keine Kinder dort (why do you say kindergarten instead of simply child garden?)) on a hill in the middle of Tønsberg. It is really pretty there, you can see far in every direction. Over all of the town and the land to the west and the sea to the east. I was sitting there, between two mounds; each containing some ancient king felled in battle at that place, with all the treasures accompanying their burials. I was sitting atop a table in the middle between these two mounds, thinking, what they would think of me, if they came back to life, these kings of old. To find some teenager, of their nation but barely understanding their language, reading about chess and Japanese. Dunno why, but just found the thought funny. My minds eye saw two kings in Viking-get-ups sitting confusedly by the table.
2. Made a list of pros and cons for the existence of god (notice non capitalized g). Actually, the list was surprisingly short for both pro and con.
Only two points, eh... Guess that doesn't really qualify as a "time" of reflections... well... meh...
Oh, btw, one of my bosses came over to me while I was on the phone today. He noticed that I was reading a book on chess, and goes "Bjørn-Erik, wtf is this?!" Me: "Oh… I betted away my body over a game of chess, so now I need to learn how to play the game." Him: "I hope it wasn’t to a guy…" Me: "Don’t worry, she’s hot."
