Wonder on Religion
I often wonder who I am telling things to... who I am trying to convince as I talk in my irate fashion towards a non-existent enemy audience. The people who read my words are not my enemies... but it means I preach to the converted... and they are not less for it...
I sometimes talk to the others though... in a general sadness... and sometimes annoyance.
Baptism is what comes to mind tonight. It is the initiation of your child into Catholicism based upon cleansing "original sin". The sin being that of Adam and Eve. The real concept being that you are totally OK with God damning babies of other religions because they DON'T get baptized. BABIES... go to Hell if not baptized. In fact you are so OK with them being damned that you just go right over and say... "yup gonna make my baby heaven-worthy and NOT YOURS." I mean what person with genuine heart and ability to free babies of their "original sin" would not scoop them all up and just baptize the fuck out all babies you can hold? And I mean throw water on all mothers in the streets and visit pagan countries and just toss blessed water in the vicinity of babies with the pure will and hope to save their everlasting pure baby souls. That means that guerilla baptizing would be the way to get the biggest bang for your soul saving dollar. Fuck supporting complicated political endeavors to stop gay marriage. How about stopping the attempt to save one soul at a time and just taking a super-soaker of holy water and dowsing India... one square block at a time. Throwing water balloons on China. Burying baptism sprinklers inside neonatal units in Africa. At least we save them from original sin. I mean... then all they have is free will and we can judge those heathens for their actions after they know how to say something more evil than... "mama".
Hey... being a soldier of God means being clever and you can hit at least 10-20 babies a day with these devices.
