got home last night at around 11pm. being jetlagged actually works well, since not being able to sleep at night allows me to stay up and watch the World Cup! and talking about the world cup... footballers cannot sing for shit. seriously... they sound like a herd of bisons being castrated...

oh, as you might have seen from the title of this entry, i've finished a clockwork orange by anthony burgess. if you haven't read it, do so. you won't regret it. tis a horrorshow piece of work.

in other news, my em and pee got me a macbook today (the very one i'm typing on right now) due to my old pc laptop's snuffin' it on me. i think i'm in love.

for the past 12 hours, however, i've been assailed with secret guilt. it's the old monster - the guilt of privilege, of having more than others for no apparent reason than being born into a better lot than many here. it's nice, however, to have this feeling as a driving force behind my quixotic quest to better the world.

i'll die trying, i promise.

now i have to work on expressing myself coherently and articulately in thai without resorting to the use of thaiglish -thai mixed with english (for i think it extremely annoying). seriously, it's annoying to not be able to express ideas quickly and fluently in one's mothertongue. i mean, in all honesty, my speech is not that bad... i just annoy the hell out of myself when i have to fall back on using english words in a thai sentence - -"

now it's off to watch germany vs poland!

peace!
