Monday 20 January: Lisbon Elevador de Santa Justa, Convento Do carmo, Mummies & Igreja De Sao Roque (Cherubs & Reliqueries)

Elevador de Santa Justa.
We had every weather since arrived: summer t-shirt, torrential rain, fog, wet, crazy winds and now bitterly cold !! First things and we went up a pretty stunning lift . I wish my one day travelcard at home did that

Convento Do carmo

Beautiful ruins and they had a cat xxx
home at such pretty transport

Decided to make our travelcard worth it and went on a few of the old fashion tram routes to see a bit more of the city. Ridiculous narrows twisted road up hill. Some pretty view.
Mummified girls in the library and beautiful carved coffins inside an old convent= Happy tourists. Stunning setting for a small museum .

Off on a little tram mini tours of section we did not go

Rosa da Rua.

Typical to have the best food of the holidays on our last day and their white sangria was delicious too...so many berries in it. Amazing buffet of local food , finally sampled the green soup. I think I tried everything, worth every good reviews on trip advisor. Siesta on the plane.

Igreja De Sao Roque
As well as baroque overdose, some amazing reliquaries. I love those, shrouded skulls, lots of the hand holders of bones, and many other ones in two overly decorates big altars xxxxxxxxx perfect way to end our trip to Portugal.
Cherubs overload xxxx looks a bit like that bag I made with dolls this summer
Sadly our last visit before jumping on a plane home
