Bourne ranting.
I just read that the last 2 books on Bourne were written by some other author -- we have 5 to date.
I don't mind that really. The whole deal about this was ... Marie was not ever killed in the books by Ludlum and she is back with Jason on the 5th book I think, and they have kids! I would totally, truly be pissed off if they make the 4th Bourne and revive Marie and show Nicky as some obsessed girl or a girl who will betray Jason or a liar or worse she meant nothing romantic when she said 'It was difficult for me ... with you'! I hope Marie would just stay dead -- since I think Franka Potente has no chemistry with Matt Damon -- and continue on with Nicky as his partner. When I first saw Julia Stiles (Nicky) with Matt Damon in Bourne Identity I actually thought that they were gonna be partners, so good thing that they 'seem' to be together in this 3rd installment.
I suspect something went on between them during their time as a team; planner (Bourne) and logistics coordinator (Nicky). I hope Nicky originally had that black hair so we can say that Marie reminded Jason of Nicky. I am so fangirling right now. It's addicting, I need to stop and get a fix. Somebody give me a good Jason/Nicky fanfic!
Edit: it just occurred to me... he says, 'it gets easier' to Nicky. is that supposed to be his reply to her when she previously said 'it was difficult for me ... with you'? I originally thought he was talking about hiding from those people running after them; that it gets easier hiding once you get the hang of it.
Another thing, when i saw Bourne II -- that scene at the subway i think -- she did not look panicky, at least not until he placed his gun to her head. As far as I can recall, she had the same expression in her eyes when we saw her with Jason the first time in Bourne 1 (I actually thought they were going to be a pair there). so, i think it could work but i might be biased since I like this ship.
