1.) DID YOU DONATE ANY MONEY/GIFTS/TIME TO CHARITY THIS YEAR?
I wish that I had money to donate.
I am a lover of donating, after all. I can’t help but shell out dollar bills to anyone who has an envelope for a good cause. I know $1 isn’t a lot, but I’m a poor post-college graduate struggling in this hard economic time. Yes. My degree is pretty good for nothing and I’m jaded about it. You would think someone with an academic record such as mine would be able to find work, but no! Either no positions or I’m overqualified. It is a mess.
Needless to say, I have no money. I am fastly becoming a charity case myself.
2.) WERE YOU IN A HURRY TO GROW UP AS A CHILD? DO YOU EVER WISH YOU HAD ENJOYED BEING A KID MORE?
I do! I miss being a kid. Now that I am grown up, I wish that I could have taken being young lighter. I was such a serious and stressed out kid, for real. I was the type who was anxious all the time and never really got along with others due to confidence issues and anxiety. If I had a little more of the carefree attitude that I do now, I think I would enjoy being a kid more. So, I sort of want my personality now if I had to go back and be young.
3.) WHAT SNACK DID YOU USED TO LEAVE SANTA? DID YOU EVER CATCH A PARENT PUTTING AWAY OR EATING THE TREAT YOU LEFT FOR SANTA?
We didn’t leave snacks for Santa. I don’t think that my mother liked the idea of leaving food out as she thought it might attract bugs. And my mother/father weren’t big sweets people. Plus, we were kinda poor. We couldn’t leave Santa food because we had to eat it!
4.) IF YOU WERE NOT RELATED TO YOUR COUSINS, ARE THEY PEOPLE YOU WOULD PICK AS FRIENDS?
I am related to all of my cousins and we’re not close at all. None of us, really. There are about one or two I would consider cool and like to hang out with, but that’s it. The rest of them are either dumb, evil, or stuck up to the max. Or just too young for me to have anything in common with or want to deal with.
5.) WHEN WAS YOUR LAST AWKWARD MOMENT? WHAT HAPPENED?
You know… I don’t really have those anymore. Like I told my sister not too long ago, I don’t suffer through awkward situations. No. I just create them and sit in comfort and ease while everyone else feels awkward and strange.
6.) WHAT IS ONE GIFT YOU WOULD BE REALLY EXCITED TO RECEIVE THIS HOLIDAY?
Hellraiser on DVD!
7.) WHEN STAYING WITH RELATIVES/HAVING RELATIVES STAY WITH YOU FOR THE HOLIDAYS, IS SEX A GO OR PUT ON HOLD?
I’ve never actually been in that situation. I think that I would feel too awkward if I were in the home of someone else. I might be more comfortable in my own home if they were staying, but even then I can see myself getting squicked out and saying no.
8.) DO YOU HAVE ANY TRADITIONS FOR THE HOLIDAYS? (ie opening one gift Christmas Eve and saving the rest for Christmas Day, opening them all Christmas Eve, listening to a particular holiday CD while opening gifts, preparing a special breakfast, ETC)
We used to have traditions like a special breakfast and assigning a Santa for the day who would pass out presents… but those have all sort of broken apart as we have.
9.) WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO RECEIVE AS A GIFT?
Sex toy. Unless I was alone with the person giving it to me. In front of my family, though… gah.
10.) DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING?
Anne Rice memorabilia, scarves, CLAMP doujinshi, Anne Rice comic books… that is all I can think of now. I know that I do collect more. I have tons of stuff, you see.
