(no subject)
hmm so we moved in and everything is leaving a distinct, new taste in my mouth. it's not really bad or good, although i think it is more good than bad, but it's just all new. i'm not homesick and not even really missing how the old stuff was. yet. that may still come. idk while it hasn't sunk in that this is permanent yet, i still feel like i've been here now for ages! it doesn't exactly feel completely 'college-y' yet, like the older students aren't exactly here yet and there aren't many parties. i think what i'm thinking of is the nyc art college feel, although i'm sure MICA has that feel too, it's just that it hasn't gotten to that point yet.
our roomate rachel is really nice
we bought a bamboo plant and a scented candle for the kitchen
i stole a banana from meyerhoff cafe. although i rly don't think it's considered stealing because it's buffet-stlye, all-you-can-eat, and even though i don't think you're technically supposed to bring shit back i think it's not really a biggie. so i improvised a fruit bowl and stuck it in the middle of the kitchen table
gaby is alseep across the room and idk where rachel is
just kidding now gaby is awake
tomorrow me and gaby are going on a DC trip with people from MICA. it's part of orientation. we met up with a friend in her group who'll be in some of her classes along with his friend and we're all meeting up for the trip tomorrow. it should be fun. it's weird because i'm meeting tons and tons of people but i'm not really retaining any friends yet. duh it's only the second day, but still... it's strange. i want to make nice friends a well
