Music pooooooost! I've found that I can't really do a music meme since picking songs for one is too hard for me. Therefore, I've decided that I should just do music posts every now and then instead of attempting a music meme. They'll probably be somewhat monstrous when I do one, but if I can get at least one person to like something I posted, it'll be worth it! :)
As for what I'll post when I do make music posts... It'll probably be a random collection of 10 or more songs each time. I've no real preferences in genres so I doubt I'll make an entire post of a certain type of music. Majority? Probably. All? Highly doubt it.
This post will likely be mostly electronic stuff with some other genres randomly thrown in. :)!
capsule - 5iVE STAR

I remember
xanithofdragons making a post on Perfume last week and I had mentioned that I preferred capsule to Nakata's other projects. Not that I've anything against Perfume, I quite like them as well, but Nakata experiments more with capsule and that makes for a broader range of sounds than you'll get with groups like Perfume. I remember when capsule had more of a lounge sound than anything else! Ah, good times.
Regardless, FRUITS CLiPPER is pretty much my favorite capsule album to date. 5iVE STAR is my favorite song off the album, although FRUITS CLiPPER, Jelly, and dreamin dreamin come close as well. One thing I can say is that Nakata is damn good at distorting/slicing vocals.
Betwixt & Between - 12 little fragments of silence

I've liked Betwixt & Between's work ever since I heard his remix of REDALiCE's Warp Attacker. I've found that a lot of doujin DJs are actually better than big name DJs and Betwixt & Between is an example of that. I love the energy in this song. It starts with a ton of energy that leads to an amazing downturn and then right back up again. This song was instant love for me. ♥
REDALiCE - Fire Opal

Speaking of REDALiCE, have some REDALiCE! I haven't actually gotten a chance to listen to Lycoris as a whole, but this song is very nice.
Current Value - Dark Rain

One of my friends has been trying relentlessly to get me into drum and bass for a while now. It's been kind of hit and miss since she's a fan of dark things while I normally like more light and airy sounding things. However! I like anything with a nice bassline and whoadamn this has a hot bassline. Speaking of Current Value, he's remixed Clear Blue Water. Somehow that song just isn't right without Justine Suissa...
Aira Mitsuki - BAD trip (feat. Terukado)

Aira Mitsuki is normally a hit and miss artist with me. I tend to like her singles, but PLASTIC wasn't really an outstanding album imo. Needless to say, BAD trip was my favorite song off of it. To some this song sounds messy, but there's an artistic quality to it that I can appreciate.
Saori@destiny - Sayonara Revival

I haven't really gotten to listen to Saori@destiny much as in her stuff isn't exactly everywhere. I really like Sayonara Revival though. It's quite a simple song, but I always seem to find myself humming along to it.
Saso Ayako - Cry! Scream!! ~ Last Boss

I don't play shump games, but Mushihimesama has a really good soundtrack. I've always liked this song since someone linked me to a video of the final boss (craaaaaaazy stuff) of Futari forever ago. The arrange version (this one) is a very nice take on it!
Sakuraba Motoi - Mine 24 B

Yes, this is a battle theme! I always loved farming blue hexes in Mine 24 because of the themes. Sakuraba is my favorite video game music composer and I find it a shame that he really doesn't do songs like this a lot. Whenever he does do a song like this it's always up there on my list of favorites...
SASAKURE.UK feat. Hatsune Miku - *Hello, Planet.

No music post of mine is complete without some VOCALOID when I've been playing PJD2nd. This song is, more or less, my favorite VOCALOID song. Which is actually saying something since I'm not the biggest fan of Miku. It's a sad song, but it has a really good message to it. SEGA actually made a game based off of this song that came with one of the PJD DLC song packs. I kind of want to get it...
Silver Forest - Fanatic Wind

I can honestly say that I've never heard of this circle before this song showed up on my list of recommendations on YT. What a gem to find though! I absolutely adore this song. The vocalist has a nice voice, the beat is nice, and this take on the song is just so much better than the original.
Kimaguren - LIFE

This song was my jam last summer! I normally don't like reggae or reggae-sounding things all that much, but man, I love me some Kimaguren. That said, this song is deep and relatable. And I'm not just speaking in terms of myself, I think everyone can relate to it in some way or another. The lyric, "I hid my emotions because I was afraid of being hurt. But before I knew it I forgot who I was, who am I?" is something that really rings true for me.
