First of four Christmas meetings over and done with, and no excessive stress yet. Hooray! :D
Logan and Josh, my four-year-old nephews, benefited from my complete adoration of little boys and an understanding of them that I get only from having six of them to deal with every day. XD As such, Logan, the more social and allowing of the two, like glommed me hard after unwrapping an Optimus Prime puzzle (like, a little 100-piece flat thing. XD; ) and a lego race car kit. Josh, his twin brother, is far more reserved, and quite frankly wanted more to play with the actual!cars that they got, while Logan jumped around going "Can I build my puzzle now?!" XD;;
Paige, being a thirteen-year-old angst!machine got chocolate and music. :D
Miya, I think is seven?, and she got a little treasure-box kit and a Tinkerbell puzzle that I had to like, visit six different stores to find something that would be hard enough for her. e_e;; Stupid puzzle shops, not existing anywhere but Zern's.
:) But from this, I pawned off twenty apple dumplings and half a chocolate cake (UNY! I frosted it myself and didn't explode anything! :D!) Part of all I want for Christmas is to learn how to make a cake that looks pretty. XD;; I think I need to invest in a set of springform 9"s. I remember growing up, the only problem we ever had with them was Tif and I decided to make mom a cake for her birthday and set one of the springform pans on the oven coil of our old electric stove, and um. Yeah. Needless to say, we spent hours cleaning that up.
....
And then I don't know what I was on about because this was a longish post and then I got called to help Tif with Rob's christmas present and spent the time telling her how the publishing industry works. :) *SHRUG*
Happy day, everyone! <3
