I had a dream this morning which was INSANE. :D

I was in high school with people I didn't know (read: none of you were in it XD; ), and Ms. Borgias took us on a spontaneous field trip, so spontaneous that we had no permission slips for it and she paid for it out of pocket. o_O It was a Mystery Field Trip, too, since we had no idea where we were going.

When we got there, we were told to check in at the front desk. And there, we were given all sorts of weird clothing choices to become PIRATES. :D I chose a flamboyant denim shirt (wtf?) and a for-real flamboyant CLEAR BLUE RAIN SLICKER MATERIAL FROCK COAT. XD I am in love with it. With green trim and ruffles. I signed my name as Harjourlabd for my pirate name, and we were given a personality test to take which then told us the doors we would visit in what order to solve things in a piratey kind of fashion.

The doors I visited didn't make a lot of sense. Like, I think my brain was making room for the more awesomer ending, but suffice to say that I didn't die in them, and there wasn't a lot of excitement I can remember. At the end of each room, you had to go to the interview room where, in-pirate, you had to answer questions posed to you by people I knew in high school but don't read my LJ. :D

After two of these rooms and sessions, I opened a door and walked, not into a room, but into an entire city. Instead of cheap overhead lights, there was the sun in the sky, and above me was the most perfect crystal blue. I wasn't in the main portion of the city, actually. I was on an island within sight of the city. I was given a pirate trunk (which was actually the cooler I'd been hauling around at Mom's party last night. XD; ) which was full of all sorts of weirdness, and the wind kicked up almost immediately.

I ran behind this huge building which took up the majority of the island. It was chalk-white, and it reminded me of Xylon's tower (Kari will get the reference). It was huge and hewn from a single stone, with windows intermittantly, and a gaping maw of clean-cut stone where a door ought to have been. There were two other girls there, also dressed as pirates, and they were fighting against the wind to get towards the city.

Somewhow, we reached the decision that we ought to try to get to the tower, so lugging my pirate chest and them hauling their weird coolers, we surged up the stairs, only to be blown back by the wind time and time and time again.

When we weren't on the stairs but were in front of the tower, the wind wasn't there to touch us. So I looked at them and they looked at me. We decided that this was a thing, a quest, that we had to find stuff to figure this out. But what kind of stuff?

Just then, a weird fairy-like being appeared in the middle of the steps and spoke to us, saying that high within this tower there was a woman trapped in sleep for all eternity with the master of a race of daywalker vampires. She was there, but not turned, ensnared in his embrace, and her life being drained day by day by day. Soon, if she was not released, she would be dead. She had been an engineer, and she had stolen nineteen samples from them. The samples were safe, but they needed to be found. And then the master vampire would need to be defeated, or we'd all die. XD;

And then she was gone.

So, we talked about this for a while, and I did the only logical thing I could think of. I jumped in the water with my pirate cooler, and I swam for shore.

There was a boat lane that was cleared, but it was full of very rough waves. And just to the side of this there was a calm section that was like glass and full of stones. So I swam there. The other two thought I was insane, but I made it to shore seeing only one fish and freaking out thinking it might be a shark. But that was like, two inches from shore, so I hauled my pirate cooler out of the water, and we sat for a time staring up at the crystal blue sky, the shining sun, and the very empty city.

There wasn't a soul besides us. We decided it was safer to stay in a group, so we started walking. And as we were walking and talking about where these samples ought to be and everything, we found a little tent instead of a huge harrowing skyscraper. The tent had a sign which read "FORTUNETELLER". Anyone who knows me knows I put just enough stock in things like this, but much more while in the world of fiction, where everything strange is there for a reason. So I suggested we go in and have our fortunes read. The other two thought this was a stupid idea and kept walking. But I held back, hurried in, and pushed aside the curtain inside the tent to find an empty area. No rugs. No table. No chairs. No crystal ball. Nothing.

I turned around and pushed the curtain aside again, and found a little slip of paper, typed and printed, like it had been expecting me, except I hadn't seen it on the way in. It was lying where I had just been standing, so I picked it up and read it.

It said that to free the girl, we needed the nineteen samples, but we also needed six of some obscure weird thing I can't remember, and four bobby pins to hold down the vampire. It gave more detailed instructions, but I ran to go get the others, and I showed them the ticket, but when I did, it was missing a large chunk of it right down the middle, which it hadn't been missing before. They wondered how bobby pins were going to hold down a vampire. I wondered if anyone had a very sharp stick around here anywhere.

So we walked and we walked and we walked, and we came to a laundromat which had a cat in it. The cat belonged to one of the girls, and it was there, next to the cat, that we found the six doohickeys, conveniantly in a box. Then we walked some more and some more and some more, and we decided to get something to eat, even though I wasn't very hungry. So they tried to find somewhere where they could eat, and I went to thinking about the ticket and the things that had happened since I found it.

And I decided that the nineteen samples were under the cat, because I'd seen the cat very possessively sitting on a box of something, but there was a label on it written in a woman's hand, and it didn't look like it belonged in the laundromat.

So while they were busy eating, I hurried back to the laundromat, and there I met a vampire, who was unfortunately played by darling_moon. Sorry, Julian. He was there to stop me from getting the samples once I realized they were there. I found a really heavy bag of laundry, and beat him to death with it, to the head and to the head and to the head. o_o;

So, after about five minutes of protracted beating (I must've been channeling Rabs, because there was only violence to this, no actual fear), there was blood flying everywhere, and then not!Julian was on the floor, dying. I ... hope I helped him along with a big pointy stick. Or else Rabs'll be getting phone calls from Q soon. XD;;

So I shoo'd the cat, and I grabbed the sample box, which was full of dominoes. And I stared at it, and I went "well, no wonder we couldn't find them." I counted them all, and at this point the number that we needed changed to sixteen, as it tends to do, and there were nineteen in the box, so I was very confused, but hurried back to where I'd left the other two, and found that they weren't there. Instead, a vampire played by my cousin Larry was there, and he was all "Oh, you're searching, too, well I've found a secret way back to the tower, so we'll..."

And I was very "no, I don't have the six other things, and I don't know where those two chicks went."

But not!Larry opened a secret passage, which was black and empty and I got a bad vibe from, and was coaxing me up, and then in an effort to coax me told me he'd "found" the six other things, and there was the box that we'd found earlier, and the other girls were nowhere in sight. So I narrowed my eyes, and moved to go with him, up these strange dark steps and into this gaping blackness, and somehow killed him (again, hoping I had the stake), and took the six other things from him and wandered back outside.

There, I wandered around looking for the girls for a while, then thought very hard about things. The rooms worked that if you died in the rooms, you didn't actually die, and I always wore bobby pins (or so I reasoned, since my hair was done as it had been for the party). I took them out of my hair and counted them all, and found I had six - more than enough. So assumedly me finishing this objective would revive those two random chicks, whatever had happened to them, so I decided that I would storm the castle on the island, somehow.

And suddenly I was there, standing on the steps, and the other two were there beside me, staring in confusion at how they'd gotten there. We walked in, and they were talking, and there were elevators to choose from. One went immediately to the top floor, and one stopped at various floors. And the bellhop asked us which we'd like to take.

It was then that we got a warning from something telling us that if we went to the wrong floor, we could well wake up the other vampires nesting in here. So we talked about it, and one of them was adamant that the highest floor would hold the vampire, but we all agreed then that it was very obvious and so therefore a different floor should be chosen. Somehow we settled on the fourth floor and piled into the elevator, and up we went. We stepped out into the blackness, dimly lit by daylight through a curtain, and found the master, but also his guard. So I gave the samples and stuff to the other two and told them to start setting it up, and I finally had a stake for real, and took out the vampire guard in an epic fight scene kind of way.

So then all that remained was the master, coiled around this young girl. Here I blame Jen and Uny, as they'd been talking about Twilight, and for the life of me, it looked like Edward and Bella from the movie. x_o So I kind of eyerolled and we lay the samples and the doohickeys out, and I put the bobbypins on the master, and he reacted as if he'd been burned with every one. The girl was freed, but then the master rose up and attacked us.

I whipped out my stake, and we had a show-down, and then we had a fight, and then he didn't have much of anything, and I didn't have a dream anymore after I'd kicked his ass.

So, it was a really awesome dream. And then I woke up, because it was over. I'm still entertained that my pirate gear was slowly replaced by a ferreal tailcoat and a skirt with a ridiculously high slit and a hip-stake. XD;

Dreams are awesome! :D Wheeeee. <3

pirates, awesomeness, epic weirdness, death to vampires, dreams, wtf
