Section One completed. Celebrated at a restaurant with Jacob because I obviously have no food options at home and anything that I could have possibly ordered in would have been cold as well as revolting in other ways. I should have time to eat from now on, which is good, because I can't afford to lose my energy. Besides, it's useful. It gives me time to perfect my plans.
Jacob seems to be the perfect second-in-command right now. I've left him in charge of the office while I construct my devices and he's doing a very good job. He's an excellent choice for the job in other ways too: ruthlessly efficient and, as far as I can tell, would still be completely loyal even if I hadn't MADE him obey me. Now if I can only stop him from being so bloody AMERICAN. Or at least, American in this time and universe. Not only does sex make him blush but I think he's still vaguely uncomfortable working for me because Brit = Commie. Aw. Bless.
Anyway, I'd best go and check on the results of my first experiment. Finally, I'm at the exciting bit!
