Ficlets: "Thief of Time" & "Greys" (Tempus Frangit Drabbles Part 5)
"Time Flies" is a collection of drabbles, droubles, and dribbles that occur during Another Side of the Sky. This set all take place between chapters three and four.

"Thief of Time" (150 Words)
“You’re looking at me funny again.”
Buffy’s caught him. He can’t look away. “How so?”
“I dunno. Like you’ve decided this moment is the last that will ever happen.” She leans back. “Can you do that, Time Lord? Do you freeze me in time?”
He watches her wrap fingers in her hair. “Sometimes, yes. This moment can last forever, if I want it badly enough.”
“Would I even notice?”
The Doctor drops to his knees, takes her hand, and lays his head in her lap. “No.” He wants to stretch out this moment until forever, not last week when he found her cold and dead in that bomb shelter, or her aging to dust, or her electrocution, or-
Or whenever it happens again.
He murmurs, “I hate it when you die. I hate it.”
She sighs, stroking the shell of his ear, running her nails through his hair. “I know.”
Greys (100 Words)
She combs through his hair, and there’s a gleam of triumph in her eyes. “Aha!”
“Oww! What’s that then?”
Buffy holds up her prize. “You’ve got a grey.”
The Doctor snorts. “So? You’ve got enough for the both of us.” She does. She’s sixty-one and her once-golden hair is a shining silver curtain now.
“Doesn’t matter. I’m saving it and showing it to Jack next time we visit.”
He nuzzles her neck. “Go ahead. Maybe he’ll let you groom him too, find his greys. Silly apes.”
“Don’t worry, won’t stop him pinching your butt, he still gooses me every time.”
