My son and I fell asleep this afternoon together in my bed, and I don't know, maybe he rested his head or another limb on me for a while, because I dreamed that I was sitting on the ground somewhere, I knew exactly where it was, but I can't recall it now, other than it definately was in Israel, warm day, bright sky, and a pride of lions comes my way. I didn't have time to stand up and run, and I didn't want to make any sudden movements so as not to cause any unwanted reaction from these majestic beasts. I just froze in my place then, and the biggest lion decided to lay down and rest his head in my lap! I was acutely aware of the danger, though he didn't act aggressively in any way, his head was very heavy and I was thinking - what should I do now? How was it best to react? Then it occurred to me, that lions are merely big cats, so maybe he'd enjoy what cats like. I'm no expert with cats, never raised one, but I know that they like it when you tickle the top of their head. So, very gently, that's what I did with the lion, and he seemed to like it. His head was so heavy though, that it was painful. So I talked to the lion, saying quietly "your head is so heavy", and the lion answered in a half growl: "Heavy..." and shifted his head a little to another position. I'm not sure how the dream ended, or maybe I woke up.
I don't know why I had this dream, but after I woke, I couldn't shake the feeling that the lion is a symbol, perhaps of the one with the yellow mane, whose name contains the name of this animal.
