Science Olympiad qualified for state a week ago Saturday. Regional results can be seen
here. My treb took fifth, and I got fourth in forensics, and second places in Chemistry Lab, Compute This, and Astronomy.
Leaving for Camas tommorrow. The car ride at least should be fun. [7 hours/(6 geeky kids + Crime and Punishment + chessboards + 8 Moody Blues CDs)*2 meal breaks]
Very tired, should probably go finish packing and then get some sleep. I was up very late finishing the English Term Paper of Doom. It wasn't a term paper, per se, but it was very long and we've been working on/researching for it since Thanksgiving. I wrote about feminism. And plays. And it was good (and 8 pages long). I never knew that works cited pages could get so complex (the proper MLA format for an anonymously translated work, anyone?). Also fun was picture taking today. All the Spokane Scholars Nominees from Shadle (of which there muct always be exactly 6), crowded into Tina's car and went off to get our pictures taken. And then we ate pizza. And the conversation was random, and geeky, and all was right in the world (almost). And no one could agree on directions.
