OMG - BBC2 game show Pointless is back.
Oh yay! POINTLESS!! Never has a show been so appropriately named. I've been getting quite a few e-mails from the Beeb trying to encourage me to labour over to the Television Centre to watch ANOTHER SERIES of this being filmed. A while ago, in this journal, I was lamenting spending valuable hours of my life in viewing, and being exhorted (unsuccessfully) to like, this dreadful game show and now they want me to do it AGAIN!
Apparently, burying this on Beeb 2 in the afternoon didn't work - it has clawed its way out of its tomb to torture the unwitting once more. What demographic makes up its viewing figures? The only explanation I can come up with is that it has been adopted as a Cult Classic by thousands of students who don't have lectures in its time slot and who need something out of which to take the piss...
