Hi All,
Time for an update I think! I have lost track of how many weeks that Nathan is (33 maybe). We are nearing on 8 months I know that much and time really is flying by!
I started back at work full time in Jan in a new job at the Management School, and so far Nathan is enjoying pre-school. They have got him sleeping in a cot, drinking out of a sippy cup and being such a big boy! But when he comes home, no cot, no cup.. grrr!!
Development wise, hes eating lumps, lots of finger foods and tries to feed himself with a spoon but by the time its at his mouth most of the food has fallen off! He is still not crawling as such. Shuffling backwards is his preferred method of travel but I think he will be off very soon. he can get up onto his hands and knees and rocks a bit and looks very proud of himself. He also can get from lying on his tummy to sitting up and then proudly claps his hands as if to say “look at me!!”. He has discovered tho that he can move and get about if he wants to, even if it is going backwards. So much so that he managed to get hold of my ER dvds and use them as frisbies across the floor! Baby proofing must begin sometime around now!
4 teeth have pushed their way in, 2 at the bottom and 2 at the top left, but not the 2 centre teeth at the top. He likes to show them off by grabbing a finger, hand, elbow, chin and biting!
Since being at pre-school we have had lots of bugs. Chest infection, ear infection, eye infection and I think the next one we will get is chicken pox as its been confirmed there is one case in the centre so far. I suppose its better to get it out the way with when hes younger. Apparently the younger you are the milder it is.
No real words yet, just lots of baby babble. mamamam, babababab, yayayay and ummmmmmmm are some of the hot topics of conversation just now.
Anyway, time for some photos!
