The Team and I were out in full force together with OCBC paddlers for the 10km AUSTCHAM challenge to promote the awareness for ALS otherwise known as Lou-Gehrig disease.

To know more about the disease, you guys can check it out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amyotrophic_lateral_sclerosis

My team mates and I were filmed for a short short interview with Paul Sng at the event for the program Sports@SG which was aired the following week on the 28th of Aug.

Before the race, I was rather sceptic as to whether will I be able to sustain for the entire 10km given that we have only trained twice before the race as a whole team. However, all my fears were proven unfounded when we started the race and truth be told, given the adrenaline we felt, I could have gone on for another 5km with no problems man. Well, maybe for the fact I might lose my voice since I was shouting all the way.

We completed at a respectable 56mins plus given that we have no experience in 10km races and there were 12 ladies and 6 guys in the boat whilst most of the rest had 12 guys and 6 ladies. We didn't finish first, but at 19th outta 25 teams, I was really really happy with our results.

Way to go guys!
