Forgot to mention that the original house we got screwed on bought apparently was sold to someone else. They got $200,500 for it.
So, factoring in closing costs (assuming they were about the same) the sellers got $5000 more than what we offered. That's it.
On one hand, I'm kind of vindicated that everyone but them knew they weren't getting $220 or more and that they didn't. I don't think the house was worth $200, but.... On the other hand, I'm still miffed it sold at all after we had bought it.
