another show
ok - so not as exciting as say jumping out of an airplane - hopefully once i get going on the shows, i'll have more stories, maybe i'll share some of my work ones below.
oh - btw for the sugarloaf festivals (md & va) i have 4 free tickets for each show (except the 1st one, i only have 1 left)

fountain square arts festival - evanston, illinois
location is actually 6 blocks of downtown evanston
show hours-

so lets see a few stories. . . .
it was windy outside and i was lifeguarding outside the pool (no worries, we have big jackets - really big, it reaches my calves, though i admit i'm short) and this little girl says to her grandfather (?) " i wish the lifeguards could get in the pool". it made me smile - so thoughtful and selflessly so.
when i was running up a step road for one of my long training runs (marathon in june of this year ) i got almost to the end of the uphill part (ther rest is turning around and almost all downhill) and there was some random older man up there enjoying the scenery. he eneded up talking to me for like 30 minutes. it wasn't so much the conversation itself, it was more a nice lesson for myself. i've been reading 2 books "ask and it is given" and nonviolent communication". two books that were sent home with me from my last trip to maryland. my dad sent me with 1 for joe and 1 possibly for both of us. i read both - well i haven't finished the nonviolent communication one.
one thing i sometimes aggravate joe with is trying to show other points of view to an opinion he may have - usually it is with good intention (trying to see a brighter side, or showing that people have good intentions, just gets distorted) - however all he wants (as do i many times, and other people) is to be heard, listened to, and not judgedd good, bad, or ugly (bad joke).
i went back to meet joe @ the bottom of the run and noticed i wasn't being as good a listener with joe as i had with the older man. so i've been trying to pay more attention to that. it's a process.
one last thing and then i'll share an image :)
please send many good thoughts into the universe for joe & myself.
joe is currently in reno, nv at a kicking camp thing and at the end nfl and arena ball people look at the kickers to see if they would like to have them join the team. he's been working hard, he's focused, and he has a strong kicking leg.
me - i head off thur driving east towards my first art show this summer (arpil 3-5). i'm stopping at a friends along the way and then arriving mon at my folks house. hopefully people will like some of my stuff.
