Future journalist?

When I was a child there were many things I wanted to be. Among them was that I wanted to start up a neighborhood newspaper. My adult self remembers little me thinking about what kind of news would really matter, what would people read? And I also wondered how big I should make this newspaper of mine. See, back in the day the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel used to give out MINI itty bitty tiny tiny newspapers. They had a full colour front page picture above the fold. With articles on both sides of it like a front page does. And it was probably 6-8 pages. I loved them. I wanted to make a mini newspaper. Also, the entrepreneur in me wanted to sell subscriptions for a quarter.

I know that I was very young because I remember being in my first room, and I was kneeling on the floor in front of my very colourful toy box. It looked like this, only mine was red and blue.

And I moved to my second room, in the same house, when I was nearing the teenage years.

I realised recently that I don't remember very many details or happenings about my childhood and I wish now, as an adult, that I had written more in my journal, so I'm hoping that as I remember things, I'll put them here. I'm also hoping that the ones I remember jar other memories loose.

Secondly, I'd like to put more of my musings down. We'll see if I get there or not. For now, memories.
