Okay, REALLY. Why must I do this? Why oh why? Why must i think about my parents and sad things that go along with it everytime i am trying to have fun with friends? WHY?! All I am doing is ruining my fun. And it's really getting on my freaking nerves. GUHHH.
And you may not even want to think about them because it upsets you so much, but maybe you just want them to always be there. When people are gone, all we've got is memories, and it's human instict to hold on to those memories as best as they can so they never fade away.
But let me just say this.
Your parents loved you, and they love you now. I know you've probably heard that from just about everyone, but thinking about them only proves that you really do love them back. <3
And I know how you feel in some ways. For me, when people say "think about all the good times you guys had", that really only makes it worse. Because I miss those times that much more. So don't bring more pain. Instead, think about something that you know would make them smile. Like, I know my dad always wanted me to succeed in everything I set out to, even if he wasn't always there to encourage me. But I just think about how happy my dad would be when I did this, or how proud he would be when I accomplished that. And if that doesn't work, venting with a friend's always good. I'll be that friend if you ever need me. =)
