Well, I still can't officially say anything about the big, exciting news, but I can on Monday (after the announcement is made on Friday). I'm excited. I get to travel soon...yay. I hate flying...a lot. It scares the bejeezes out of me. But what can ya do when you have to go? I don't feel like putting that many miles on the car, and since I'm traveling on a weekend to get there (the mystery city, for now...) I'll be on overtime for travel time, so they'd rather I fly it in 4 hours than drive it in 6-8 hours (if that is indeed how far I'm travelling...*clears throat*

Anyway, things are going really well. It was dropsofblood's birthday on the 14th, so we went out to dinner after we got off work. Just a little steakhouse, but we rarely go out, so it was good to do that. Then last night my folks took us out to a really expensive place to eat. That was nice. How can you beat an 8oz. filet mignon, caesar salad, baked potato, and "Millionaire's Coffee" with a range of alcoholic beverages in it for under $50? (Well, if you want to get technical, free to me...) It was really fun, though. Then we went out to the bar and had a few drinks on the patio and talked. It was kind of nice. When you get to a point where you can talk to your parents like other people you're having drinks with (instead of like your parents) it's really nice. But...they're still your parents, and that still comes out sometimes. But like I was telling dropsofblood last night, we should do that more often. Oh well...

I guess that's it. My life is boring right now. Got a collection notice for an account I paid off in 2002. Not very happy...but just have to jump through the hoops and follow their procedures to get it cleared up. Getting pissed won't fix anything. Damn...I really did grow up at some point, didn't I? Hmmmm... Saving money, paid off debt, realizing anger isn't a tool and won't fix anything, going back to school, planning out my finances to be able to buy the new car I want/need without financing it...this is scary. Really...like a lot.

Take care, all!!
