(no subject)
Things are beginning to run smoothly at Penn.
First of all my art class is awesome. Despite my initial apprehensions about skill level, i have realized that i am about equal to everyone there. Relief. The class is only ten people and my instructor Matt is awesome. He is basically like a big kid. We did some blind contour drawings of a chandelier and skull and other setups then moved onto a regular contour drawing of some flowers. i was quite pleased with mine and cannot even begin to imagine how much work i will have by the end of the 4 weeks. That was all monday. Last night our homework was to collect a bug to draw. i got excited and frantically collected a fire fly with classmates. two of which are insanely funny and eccentric but to the extent where it seems almost fake. im not sure what track that friendship is going down. they are also an item and ridiculously good looking. if only i had a digi cam. (birthday? [6 days!]) Anyhow we didnt actually get to use said but yet but we will later. now for some imaginable descriptions of other classmates. One is from hewlett. enough said. one is this cool japanese girl into anime and pretty chill. another is this guy jesse. hes a cool dude but we certainly have to do some more talking. also i keep making weird eye contact with him. there are 3 commuter students. two of which are very quiet and mild mannered and i had lunch with them today. each are from outside philly like 30 minutes or so. ummmm there is ana who seems cool but ditched me the other day when i was getting my card shit figured out. btw my penn card id thing doesnt work and its a real pain in the ass. hopefully that will fix itself, although i have been to several help desks to no avail. back to class. the other commuter student is this kid david who called in sick today, weird? he seemed perfectly normal and friendly when i met him though on monday. with me that is everyone. in art today though we did gesture drawings of objects. i need to loosen up man. 30 seconds to draw a sewing machine, phone, and vase. not cool but it was funny cuz everyones looked like a 3rd grade art class. afternoon the air condicionado rompe. not cool
my firsts ink thing in the afternoon i liked but then there was a huge still life of tons of sticks. between the heat and being tired i couldnt concentrate. even after starting over i was unhappy. o well. we went to the biopond after that to draw some aspects of nature. eveyrone just found a spot and chilled. i had an awesome conversation with matt abotu art school, his t shirt company and london art. everyone else seems intimidated sort of to talk to him. at least i know i wont get the doesnst participate in class enough thing i got from my philosophy teacher last year. ( im sorry if i feel stupid after learning about 1 million hindu deities with everyone comprehending but me).
there is this group of friends that have kind of formed with me this girl ashley, this kid asher and this girl gaul. they are all very nice and cool. Ashley reminds me of lianna which is weird. they have really similar mannerisms/nonverbal communication. so now i think they think i ditched them after running into the couple from my art class and this girl from jericho. maybe i will call them, although i am enjoying munching on my whole foods market purchases and updating my journal. also the weather sucks. if you read all of this, good job!
