so it is the new year and i am sitting in my pajamas at my parents' where i have been dutifully watching the house for the past week. yesterday i did as many pre-new year's rituals as i could remember in my parents' absence: repaid all my debts, cleaned the house, bought fresh fruit, opened the back door to let the bad out, opened the front door to let the good in, had boyfriend dap dat and set the tone for the year. i hope i didn't forget anything.

chloe also pooped in the hallway-- hopefully that is a good omen?
