regarding the origins of money, i think it should be said that rich people nowadays, the old rich, etc. have found a loophole. not the millions of tiny ones their bankers and so on tell them about, but one really big one,
Hording.
Hording should be a crime, like laundering or loitering. Its anti human.
and we've gotten used to it as a principal of the times, but not of man's natural state. no, you can't say much about man's natural state apart from what's left of our instincts.
Well, Hording materials does seem to be one.
So, this started out as "man's natural state does not include hording. that it is a common, and dangerous and offensive, practice today is because we are moving away from nature into a contrived existence to our own demise and unhappiness." It then became, "Man's instincts include hording, in preparation for harder times." But both of these thoughts seem very reasonalbe to me, in isolation.
I guess because man's natural state does not account for wealth, or symbols of accrued goods, only immediate needs, that is what made me think it is unnatural to hord.
but the truth is we spend x million times longer just hanging around and existing in the contrived world than we do in a natural state. is our first moments of infancy our only experience as a natural being? is that what being man is?
*being a child you spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff, but you don't share it with your friends :)
