Meteors!
Kiwi and I did go out to Wood-henge to see the Perseids meteor shower. In 45 minutes, we saw hundreds IFF you include all the ephemeral and peripherally seen ones. More than a dozen were visible for more than a split second, and 2 were truly spectacular. The celestial display was better last year, but after several days of triple digit heat indices it was nice to sit in the mid 70s and listen to crickets and trains.
