This past Sunday I developed a dry cough and I felt very run down. I thought maybe I was getting a cold just from lack of sleep so I took it easy, took a nap, took a ton of vitamin C and used Purell whenever I had to take care of Emily. Then I woke up on Monday morning with a 102 fever. Jim took off from work on Monday to take care of the baby and I went to the doctor - who didn't really know what was wrong with me. She thought maybe it was viral and therefore there was nothing she could do but prescribed Tamiflu just in case it was the flu. Jim's parents came over yesterday before Jim left for work and took care of the baby all day. They were back here today for a little while so I could nap but I took care of her last night. So here I sit with a face mask on. I haven't had a fever since Monday night so the pediatrician thinks I am probably not contagious anymore but I am still wearing the face mask just in case. I hope little Emily doesn't get sick! I think if she gets a fever she has to go to the hospital because she is so little.
Jim and I panicked when I got a fever and started checking Emily's temperature every few hours on Monday. This made her poop like 5 times yesterday! so we stopped taking it. The pediatrician was like, only take her temperature if she feels warm or is acting up! But we are first time parents so we panicked a little! At least we know what to do if she hasn't pooped in a while!
