(no subject)
I haven't posted in so long! Well, busy season is over so I now have my life back. Jim and I went to Jamaica for a few days this past week. We weren't going to take a vacation this year with the new house and everything but decided we might as well while we still can before having kids. So we decided on going to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica for 5 days. It was beautiful! We loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Our flight on Monday was delayed a few hours so we got there in the evening so I felt like the trip was one day shorter than I planned. We would have extended the trip by one day but I had class on Saturday morning. Saturday morning classes suck, by the way.
What else is new in our world....Jim got rid of his Nissan and bought a Subaru Outback. It was used, a 2005 with 10,000 miles on it. Not a bad deal. The Altima just kept breaking down and we kept pouring money into it. Anyway, the Outback has the heated seats which I love (and regret not getting on my car) and dual climate control so Jim can have his side on like 50 degrees while I have mine on like 80 (a bit of an exaggeration). My car is still kicking except I call it the Ghetto Infiniti because the back of my front seat keeps falling off. Someone at work said it's because the glue must have lost its power from all the moisture in the car after the flood. Eventually I'll buy leather glue and fix it. I'll keep the car until it stops working. It's great not having a car payment!
We bought a patio set before we went away. Our backyard is a mess though. The previous owners stopped taking care of it last summer, so it's dead and weeds grow. We're not going to do much to it (except mow the weeds) cause in the next few summers we'd like to put in a pool. Why buy sod and all that crap just to rip it up in a year or two?
My brother and his girlfriend bought a one bedroom condo. It's close to my mom's house so of course he's the good kid now.
