Friendly friend update -

Stephi and I made awesome fruitcake. Its loaded with turkish apricots, dates, brazillian nuts, macadamia nuts, maraschino cherries, cranberries, and sugar. Its tasty and lovely. And really stiff and hard to cut.

Watched a movie called Tracy Fragments - very weird movie starring Ellen Page of Juno fame. The entire film tries to capture the thought processes of a fifteen year old girl - so its fragmented with multiple windows to show you how and where she's thinking. Its a unique experiment for film making.

McKenzie is back home and we're doing well. He taught me how to play Risk (which I love) and we've been playing videogames and wasting time running around Portland. All is lovely with the world.

My boss has cut off two days of my work because of the snow. Its frustrating - I still need the money. Hopefully my paycheck isn't weaned too much. My main concern is Blue Fin's business might be crashing because of the economy and the winter snow. It blows.

Grades came back. Straight A's (yaay), now I can focus on my portfolio review this spring. Not too worried, I have an idea of what I want to do. I'm anxious to get it over with.

Got to meet Henry Sellick (director of Nightmare before Christmas/Coraline/James and the Giant Peach) yesterday. He was twitchy, which was funny considering he's a stop-motion animator. Being twitchy seems like a huge flaw to have in the world. But he was lovely and I was very starstruck all the same. My dad was the one to get him to meet us (me and mack) yesterday, so I owe him a lot of love!

If you happen to be downtown, give me a ring! I promise I won't have much to do. I love to see old friends. I'll make it worth your while.
