Dear Yuletide Author,
I'm guessing we've matched on Boardwalk Empire because no one else seems to have offered my other two fandoms. That said... if you think you might be up for something else my other two fandoms are book fandoms and source material should be available through your local library. But I'll be happy no matter which fandom you choose.

Request #1 -- Crime Novels - Michael Connelly
Harry Bosch, Mickey Haller, Maggie McPherson
Case fic. Family time. Twisted Harry/Mickey incest. Backstories. Anything would be fine. Seriously. Focus on one of the characters, focus on them all, bring in other people (Elizabeth Wish, the daughters, any of Harry's partners, Lorna and Cisco, old clients; really, anybody).
I nominated this hoping maybe someone else out there has read the Harry Bosch and/or Mickey Haller books. I'm actually new to both series. A little backstory. I discovered the Mickey Haller series through the movie version of The Lincoln Lawyer and I was really interested to see what happened to Mickey next. So I started listening to the audiobooks on my commute. I pretty much fell in love. And I adore Maggie and Haley and when I got to The Reversal I got to meet Harry and his daughter. But not having started with the Bosch books, I didn't know that the two are half brothers, and well... all through I kept thinking the guys were super slashable. And then the bomb got dropped on me and I was both disappointed and yet not at all deterred.
So then I started in on the Harry Bosch series. I listened to a book from mid-series and once my library requests came in I listened to The Black Echo and The Black Ice. I loved the first and was okay on the second (the plot didn't do much for me in book #2) and was just as hooked on Harry as on Mickey. And I'm totally intrigued by Elizabeth Wish too.
So basically, I would be thrilled by pretty much anything. If you want to write case fic for Harry or trial fic for Mickey, that would be fine. If you wanted to do something like The Reversal where they work together that would be cool too. If you want to do a family night for either family (or combined after the brothers and their daughters get to know each other), that would be great. If you want to write backstory, I'd be all over that (one of the things that interests me about Harry is his Vietnam experience). If you want to have the brothers in a fucked-up, dysfunctional sexual relationship, I would not be at all upset about that either (although I don't see some perfect happily ever after for them, it should be a difficult dynamic). Whatever inspires you, go for it.
A note on learning the source: Rent the movie The Lincoln Lawyer (it's got Matthew McConnaughey, Marisa Tomei, and Ryan Phillipe, you can't go wrong) and you can write a basic Mickey. Read Mickey book #3 (The Reversal) and you'll see why I like the Mickey/Harry dynamic. Or pick up The Black Echo for a more detailed intro to Harry.
Request #2 -- The Stars in the Bright Sky, by Alan Warner
Fionnula McConnel, Kay Clarke, Ava
Last year I wrote for The Sopranos and this summer I finally got a chance to read the follow-up book and wow. I just... wow. From The Sopranos I am a Finn/Kay shipper, but then along came Ava. And pretty much anything you could do with any or all of the three would be awesome. I'd love to see something on the plane or in Vegas.
If you're good with femmeslash, I would love for this to go there (although that doesn't mean I need explicit) in any combination including all three. Aside from something on the plane or in Las Vegas, more backstory of Finn and Ava's living together would be nice. Or something after the girls return from holiday. I'm a Finn/Kay forever kind of fan, but I am really interested in what could go down with Ava, especially after the canon scene of Kay and Chelle and Ava in the hotel. So I'm wide open. If you want to bring in Chelle, Manda, and Kylah as supporting cast, that's fine too. (But I'd like the main focus to be on at least one of the characters requested.)
Oh, and while Scottish dialect is awesome if you can do it, please don't feel like you have to. As long as they don't sound like Valley Girls, I'll be happy.
To access source -- Check with your library system. I checked out a copy this past summer through inter-library loan. There aren't a lot of copies out there, but it is available. It's a quick read as is The Sopranos.

Jimmy Darmody, Angela Darmody, Richard Harrow
My number one dream for this show is Richard getting some love. So any combination (including threesome) of Jimmy/Angela/Richard would rock my world.
My other interest is some kind of story contrasting Angela and Margaret and the relationships they have with Jimmy and Nucky.
Each week I watch this show and I hope and pray that Richard will be loved and see that he is loved. There have been some wonderfully tender moments this season between him and Angela and him and Jimmy. But I want him to actually realize that he means something to them. I want him to know that he is cared for. If you want to take it an extra step to some hot sex I would not object. Slash/het/3some, it's all good here.
Something that stood out to me in the recent scene when Jimmy tells Angela what he's been doing, was the contrasts between Angela and Margaret. They have some similar experience and yet very different experiences too. That would be nice to see in a fic.
Anything Margaret/Owen would be fab. Especially all her thoughts before, during, and just after they have sex.
And finally, given the recent addition of Louise to the show, I would not be opposed to some hot femmeslash with Angela. Or feel free to introduce Louise in some other way if you're so inspired.

1. Anything can be run past turnonmyheels if you want advice. She's my real life and fandom BFF and she can definitely tell you if something is or is not okay.
2. I'm an editor, and while I don't expect perfection because we are all human, I will weep at misspellings (especially of character names).
3. No BDSM please. I'm not opposed to it, but for these particular fandoms, that's not what I'm looking for. Same for watersports and non-con. That does not, however, mean I don't like a little kink. If you choose to write sex and you're worried it's too dirty, check with turnonmyheels. I've mentioned incest up there; I'm not a prude. *g*
4. I love tension and do not require a happy ending. If done well, a breakup fic can leave me just as delighted as riding off into the sunset. But angst for angst's sake doesn't do it for me.
5. I love character pieces. So if you struggle with plot (as I do), don't stress about it.
6. I love love love love love humor. Especially smart humor. And snappy dialogue. And sarcasm is never lost on me, so feel free to get snarky.
7. Gen, het, slash, and femmeslash are all welcome here. PG to NC-17 are all fine with me.
8. If I didn't cover something you're concerned about, refer back to #1.
