Am I the only one who hates warnings for fisting? It really bothers me, and I'll tell you why.
If you warn me for fisting, then I've got expectations, you know? Because to me a fisting warning, is not really a warning, but a promise. So then I'm expecting it and I want it to be good fisting, right? And then sometimes the fic is so bad I can't even get to the fisting. Or the fisting isn't very good. Either way, I'm disappointed and left wanting GOOD fisting.
But... if you don't warn for fisting. If it's surprise fisting, then it's great. Even if it's not the most well-written fisting, it's still surprise fisting. And you can't go wrong with surprise fisting. (Usually.)
So this is my plea to writers who may not be the most spectacular writers out there. Don't warn me, surprise me. Mmmkay?
