When Lyla Garrity found herself kissing Tim Riggins of all people, the world stopped turning. Her grief, worries, anger - gone. There were no cars passing. No parents yelling. No thoughts of the future. No worries about Jason and school and next Friday's game. It was just the two of them. Mouth to mouth, pulling his face to hers, his hands hot against her back. Everything else just stopped.
When she got home that night it all came crashing back and she found herself wishing for Tim's touch, kiss. She wanted that unspoken understanding. She wanted Tim.
But she loved Jason.
